Just coming off of reading an article about the possibility of Justin Bieber being in Fast and Furious 9, which is scheduled to come out in 2020, with a May 22nd, confirmed release date; and WTH? Like seriously? WTH?

Now, I am a true Fast and the Furious fan. I have seen all the movies, even Tokyo Drift and got teary eyed when Paul Walker died unexpectedly. I honestly believe in the story of family, and love how they just kept running with that theme. They truly understood what the fans wanted, and gave us it; fast cars, wild chicks and a lot of crap blowing up. There’s no Oscar winning performances in it, but it does the trick; provide the audience with continued excitement.

Despite that fact that I am a die hard fan, I don’t think I can stomach Justin Bieber, tampering with my sacred Fast and the Furious franchise. It may even be a huge deterrent, not only for myself but other die hard fans and even non-die hard fans! Which would be financial suicide on their part. I mean we have a tangential movie coming out with Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Shaw (Jason Statham), which is acceptable after their “at each other throats”, in 7 (enemies) and 8 (frenemies). But Justin Bieber?

Apparently from the source, Justin Bieber may be, kinda, sorta, replacing Paul Walker and will be paired up with Lucas Black (from Tokyo Drift; although I found that movie to be the worst and cannot stand Lucas Black in these kind of movies, he’s really just good for television at this point in his career), as a new dynamic duo, like what Paul Walker and Vin Diesel were like.

Although, there is some relief in viewing the IMDb page for Fast and Furious 9, and find his name no where on the cast. This list is very short though, and who knows who they may add as filming begins.

With pre-production starting earlier this year, we probably will start getting more confirmation about who will be starring in the 9th installment. So far, we can be relaxed to know that Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson?, Jordana Brewster, and Ludacris, will be reprising their roles. I am not sure how they are going to write in Jordana’s role as Mia, because both her and Brian were suppose to be out of the game at the end of the 7th installment. That was the whole point of the ending of the movie and with Paul Walker’s untimely death, I don’t see how she can come back without Brian being there also.

So, so far, the rumors are more leaning towards Lucas Black and John Cena (rumor is pretty strong with this one), and that’s just based off of IMDb page. Again, I am going to assume as the time comes closer to the release of the movie in 2020, we will have a better idea of who’s actually going to be starring in this movie; besides the obvious bunch.

My fingers and toes are crossed that Bieber isn’t part of the cast, because once I see his name, I may just wait for it to come out on Demand and keep my money. As much as I love the franchise, I couldn’t stand seeing that dude’s face in one of my favorite franchises. Avenger’s is basically over, so I only have Fast and the Furious, to obsess over now. So they better think long and hard. Or better yet, this better just be a huge, funny, rumor, that no ones laughing about.
