A few days ago, I blogged about a very horrible animated movie that never was released on big screen; Foodfight. It’s one of those things that you see, on the “how did I get here?” side of Youtube. So, in case anyone who frequents my blog, is interested in watching the whole movie, then click Read More and enjoy or not! 😊Read More »
I grew up, watching It, as a two part miniseries that was released in 1990. I remember being so scared watching it, that I drew my legs up onto the chair so that nothing could grab me. The fact the movie is all about kids being eaten by some type of extra-terrestrial being, is enough to send any kid crazy! I am not going to lie, I never liked clowns and this could very well have been the conditioning that caused it.
So when the 2017, It! remake was made and released, I definitely wanted to see it. As someone who’s seen the original, I already knew what was going to happen to little Georgie. Although in the original, they never showed you what happened to Georgie, rather it was inferred. So to see a kid getting his arm ripped off and then crawling away in desperation, is some deep sh!t.
With that being said, this scene that was made more as a funny extra rather than a deleted scene (as that would have ended the movie, right then and there), is awesome and hilarious at the same time. So, enjoy!Read More »
And the list continues…
5. Katie Holmes – Batman Begins
– Katie Holmes is an actress that best days was in that one show, that name I am not putting my finger on. All I remember (and I don’t care to look up the name of that show), is that I wasn’t one of those teenagers who gravitated to it. I was more a 7th Heaven type of fan. So, to be frank, I actually forgot she was even in a Batman movie and was Bruce Wayne’s love interest. I do definitely remember her replacement; Maggie Gyllenhaal.
4. Jared Leto – Suicide Squad
– Definitely think that Jared Leto’s performance was an over-exaggerated one. Like someone trying too hard to fill the shoes of a previous actor who did an excellent job playing The Joker; Heath Ledger. We all can agree that he’s the best Joker we’ve ever had. So I wouldn’t blame Leto falling short of anything but his own ability to act the part of Joker, in the way he thought was appropriate. With that being said, his performance was hilarious and not in a good way.Read More »
There are only a few things in this world that actually disturb me; for example hairless cats, and even then they are unique and interesting in their own ways. But, this animated movie that never was released to the big screen, did have a horrible beginning and those issues did contribute to the very ancient appearance to the animation of it. Nevertheless, that’s no excuse in going ahead and actually finishing a movie that is literally, disturbing to look at. You’d think that someone, at some point, would have said proceeding with making this animated movie, would be a horrible idea. But nope, they kept on with it.
So check out the trailer for the animated movie Foodfight, that never made it to the big screen.Read More »
“15 terrible performances that ruined movie franchises“, is a recent entry made by ScreenRant, and the title speaks for itself. I happen to frequent the website, just for updates on most of my liked pop entertainment news. I am a Marvel Universe fan, so all Marvel Universe news is a must read. While reading the article, I did have some disagreement with some of the opinions made by the author and felt, as I have my own blog, I could speak on those disagreements. In some ways, I actually don’t believe that the actors who played certain characters, ruined the franchise but contributed to the overall success of it.
Maybe the author used the phrase “ruined movie franchises”, as a form of hyperbole, but I still had disagreement with their criticism of some of the actors in these well known movies.Read More »
I am a fan of the Saw franchise, and have seen all of the installments. The whole “live or die, make your choice” line, always gets to me because you know once that is said, all hell breaks loose. People tend to act their worst, when death is facing them. You always see someone acting manic, and doing the unthinkable in Saw movies and just know that if the shit hit the fan, some people will actually work against each other rather than with each other, to survive; that whole survival of the fittest.
Although this movie probably doesn’t need much explanation, I will just quickly explain what actually was happening throughout this movie. If you haven’t seen Jigsaw as yet, you’d probably want to close this blog and go check it out because it was a pretty good movie.Read More »
So, I am going on vacation in a few days and I am just enjoying what time I have in Poole, Dorset, before I leave. That includes ordering food from Deliveroo’s partnered restaurants. One of those restaurants recently added, is Harlees.
Recently I have been feeling for some fish and chips, type of take away but unfortunately none of the restaurants that I frequent, delivered. It was as if Harlees was an answer to my prayers 😋. You know when you just want some Panko coated squid with fries and nothing else will suffice? That’s the feeling I had last night and decided to take a chance with Harlees.Read More »
Smokeys burger joint, has one of the best tasting burgers in Poole, Dorset. I have had other burgers from different places and nothing beats back their burgers. Also they are massive sized, obviously being a half pounder (which is the one I purchase); which is one of the many sizes it comes in, including triple and quarter pounders. They are also pretty cheap, being about £4.50, for a regular cheese burger. They also provide the option to add on different toppings to it. So far I have been choosing the onion rings as an extra topping and purchasing their breaded king prawns, and adding it to the whole mix. Definitely a delicious combination!Read More »
Previously I wrote about an online ordering food service called Just Eat, and how it has literally expanded my dining options since I have moved to the UK. It also helped me with getting food when I traveled outside of my place of residence. The fact that you can choose restaurants that are available to deliver straight to your door, especially for someone who doesn’t have a car, is priceless.
As awesome as Just Eat is, it does have some limitations and that’s just basically on what restaurants uses its’ services. I am not going to complain but after a while, as humans, we get into a pattern, even when it comes to where we get our food. Also, some of the restaurants unfortunately in my neighborhood or close to it (in delivery distance), had awful reviews and that narrowed down my options significantly. I was basically forced to choose amongst; pizza, chinese food or burgers. As lovely as all three of those options are, it can become very tedious. Also, yet again, when the ratings for alternative restaurants within those categories are pretty low, you’re basically getting your pizza, chinese food or burgers from only specific restaurants. I have had the unfortunate experience of verging off my comfort zone and purchasing from a different restaurant than I am accustomed to, and got some horrendous food, even when customers gave them excellent ratings. So at the end of the day, it all depended on what restaurants provided me with the best meals, and forgetting about ratings all together (except for the ones that obviously have very low ratings, I choose to trust those customers 😂).Read More »
This post is to publicly apologize to those who have visited my page and commented asking for assistance or any resources that I have, specifically for term 5. I have been missing in action when it came to this blog because of a hectic clinical rotation. Once psychiatry was done, I ended up in Surgery, then Internal Medicine, and then finally Obs and Gyn. Surgery was a hectic but pretty cool rotation, which I will eventually write a reflection on. Internal medicine was the most hectic and stressful of all the rotations because of the intensity of the subject matter. I will also write a reflection on the rotation and the NBME for Internal Medicine some time in the near future. Finally, Obs and Gyn was my most frustrating of clerkships because of the hiccups that I experienced during the rotation, not because of the rotation itself but because of a lot of logistic issues I endured during it.
In the future, if anyone is trying to get in contact with me, you should use my email address. I check my email regularly and would have answered them very quickly. I have had individuals email me and assisted them in whatever it is that they needed. So don’t be afraid to send one over!
I am going to be going on a nice hiatus, and much needed break from my rotations. I am starting my 4th year on March 5th, and plan to relax before my return to the hospital floor. During that hiatus, I will be vacationing home, and enjoying my time with my family. I will update my blog more regularly, with random topics and also strategies on doing well on the clerkships and NBME’s associated with them.Read More »
