Annabelle Doll – Amazon.com
One of my favorite genre of movies, is horror. I am not a comedy fan, or drama, but an action or horror movie will always be the first choices for me, for my movie going experience. Child’s Play, hellraiser, Pumpkinhead, are some of my favorite horror movies. Although they all share the 80s era connection, the newer horror classics like Annabelle, The Conjuring and Jeeper Creepers, are a few of my current favorites. Because of that, I have a longing desire to collect replicas of these movies.

The 9th Life of Louis Drax
The 9th Life of Louis Drax (2016), is a quirky little movie that does a very good job at discussing a very disturbing condition, which I am not going to mention because it would spoil the whole movie for you. It is basically about a little boy who’s had a lot of accidents throughout his life; even from birth. A lot of it makes him look like he’s the world’s clumsiest kid.
The way the movie starts off in the beginning, it’s easy to quickly disregard it as a silly little kiddie movie, that no adult would be interested in. But once you give it a chance, you’ll realize there’s more than meets the eye.

Narcos
Netflix really is or has been working hard to develop their original content, from movies to series and Narcos is one of their biggest series they have right now. I got into it after Season 1 was over and Season 2 was on its’ way but it allowed me to binge on 20 episodes and that was it. I was hooked.

Becoming me again
During my 3rd year of medical school, I kind of lost myself. I think it even started after the first two terms of medical school, so after the first year. All of my energy went into surviving (and actually doing well), during my basic sciences years. I wanted to do very well, and not just pass my exams but even to just pass the exams, one had to work very hard unless they were a naturally born genius.
Due to that desire and need, I sacrificed a lot. I felt that it was a small sacrifice to make, to achieve the goals I wanted in life; to become a doctor. So I stopped going to the gym regularly, and that eventually diminished to not going to the gym at all. During my 3rd year, because the clinical years are a whole new chapter of their own from the whole book that is called medical school, I had to readjust my studying methods and also refocus on “impressing” the doctors around me. Not only was I being evaluated on my test taking capabilities via the NBMEs but also on my ward pimping abilities (impressing the doctors with my basic knowledge of their individual specialties). With that, there was basically two different areas that you are graded on; the clinical clerkship which is a subjective grading, and the NBMEs (national board of medical examinations), which is obviously objective.

The Cloverfield Paradox
So, I just got done watching this Netflix movie. Which happened to just sneak onto the Netflix Original list, without any previous notice. Now initially, the name in itself did send some bells ringing in my head but because the movie doesn’t seem to have any connection with the movie Cloverfield (2008), in its’ story’s premise; a crew sent out in space, to produce some form of alternative everlasting energy, ends up coming to terms with an alternate reality; allowed me to enjoy it as a stand-alone Sci-Fi movie that’s been released by Netflix. Apparently the movie was acquired by Netflix from Paramount Pictures, 2 weeks before its’ release.

Original Terminator
Now, we all associate Terminator with Arnold. In fact, I don’t think any person can actually imagine anyone else playing the cybernetic organism or saying the famous lines; “I’ll be back” or “Hasta la vista baby”. I mean anytime we think of those lines, it automatically is said in Arnold’s accent. His deep accent just seems so appropriate for a cybernetic organism who’s built specifically to kill. But did you know that the original person, meant to play the Terminator was Lance Henriksen and not Arnold? Honestly, I cannot wrap my head around why James Cameron’s first pick, was him, although a reddit discussion clarifies his reasoning (apparently he wanted the terminator to be someone that blends in), but I have to say I am really glad that Arnold was chosen at the end of the day.
Click read more to see the concept drawings for the Terminator, when Lance Henriksen was being considered. We can remember though that Lance ended up playing Detective Hal Vukovich, in the first Terminator. Not a really big role as playing the Terminator, but he did end up in the movie at the end of the day.

It! – Georgie takes his boat
I grew up, watching It, as a two part miniseries that was released in 1990. I remember being so scared watching it, that I drew my legs up onto the chair so that nothing could grab me. The fact the movie is all about kids being eaten by some type of extra-terrestrial being, is enough to send any kid crazy! I am not going to lie, I never liked clowns and this could very well have been the conditioning that caused it.
So when the 2017, It! remake was made and released, I definitely wanted to see it. As someone who’s seen the original, I already knew what was going to happen to little Georgie. Although in the original, they never showed you what happened to Georgie, rather it was inferred. So to see a kid getting his arm ripped off and then crawling away in desperation, is some deep sh!t.
With that being said, this scene that was made more as a funny extra rather than a deleted scene (as that would have ended the movie, right then and there), is awesome and hilarious at the same time. So, enjoy!

My response to; “15 terrible performances that ruined movie franchises”..continued
And the list continues…
5. Katie Holmes – Batman Begins
credit: superherohype.com – Katie Holmes is an actress that best days was in that one show, that name I am not putting my finger on. All I remember (and I don’t care to look up the name of that show), is that I wasn’t one of those teenagers who gravitated to it. I was more a 7th Heaven type of fan. So, to be frank, I actually forgot she was even in a Batman movie and was Bruce Wayne’s love interest. I do definitely remember her replacement; Maggie Gyllenhaal.
4. Jared Leto – Suicide Squad
credit: independent.co.uk – Definitely think that Jared Leto’s performance was an over-exaggerated one. Like someone trying too hard to fill the shoes of a previous actor who did an excellent job playing The Joker; Heath Ledger. We all can agree that he’s the best Joker we’ve ever had. So I wouldn’t blame Leto falling short of anything but his own ability to act the part of Joker, in the way he thought was appropriate. With that being said, his performance was hilarious and not in a good way.
